Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in the year 1980. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her ancestry is Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered a passion to perform on the age of a child. In 1992, she was awarded her first role at the auditions for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mom signed her up with an agency just before her 13th birthday. She later appeared on television commercials and newspaper ads. In the same year, she also began training in private acting. Bell played an uncredited character in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music as well as the drama club. The school's stage production The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Bell later moved into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student at the Tisch School of the Arts. In 2001, Bell quit her university in order to play the role as Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part was cut and the credits are all that show her. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in the Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
